Why Can't I be an Evil Mastermind?!?

I was in the Robina Woolworths today (the one I don't work at) and saw that, because it is the first of October, they have all the Christmas stuff out. I mean, what the hell? Why? Grr. I hope this doesn't mean that I have to start listening to Christmas carrols at work from now on. I might die.

Anyway, in other news, I've just finished reading the new Artemis Fowl book. I don't hang out for them and track their release dates or anything but I have to say, this series is one of the most consistently good ones I've read. The first was the best (of course, they almost always are) but they didn't degrade any further from the second onward. And that's a pretty solid acievment. I just walked into the bookstore the other day and it was sitting there on the shelf. It had just appeared there when I wasn't looking, like... well... faries had put it there! And it made me happy.

I just love that I love reading again! I've gotten back into it since reading almost nothing for six months (when I started uni). I'm getting into all these really cool stories! Haha, now who can tell that my Dad is a librarian from this post? *Raises hand* Yeah, me too.

I've finally gotten my USB stick (named Guppy) out of my bag and will transfer one of two posts I've been saving specially for you guys (special!) The other post I will use soon, but not tonight.

Have patience damnit!

Fillet

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-01T10:21:36Z</dcterms:modified>

Ok, so there's this bookstore...

... and it's full of girls. This isn't going where you think it's going so I'd stop reading right now if you're going to be dissapointed. Anyway, it turns out that Collins bookstore in Robina has never in it's entire existance hired a male employee. After dropping my resume in yesterday I had an interview today and it was the most laid back interview I'd ever had in my life. But that's besides the point. I got a trial shift not next Thursday but the one after for two hours and I posed the question 'What about the uniform?' The assistant manager (from now on called Jasmine because I think that's what her name is) stops for a second and says.

"You know, I have no idea what you're going to wear. We've never had a boy employee before"

So after I pressed her for more information she told me to just wear black pants and a white button up shirt while she figured something out. I assume other Collins stores elsewhere have hired males before so there has to be some sort of uniform for me to wear but for now its a white shirt with no tie! I'm absolutely loving this because the only other time I've been able to work without a tie was with Action and we all know what their uniform was like...

So I'm all ready to dazzle them with my skillz as a bookseller so I can get this job and leave Woolies for good. I don't think Woolies will be sad to see me leave. They've been hassleing me alot lately about a number of things which I won't go into detail about. Mostly because they are boring. But they are a real problem for me so I won't be sad to see that job go either. That job has had it's day I'm afraid and I will shed no tears over it. I still don't know what the rate of pay is though. I hope it's good (ie, the same as Woolies or just a tiny bit less, emphasis on tiny) otherwise I may be tempted to stay at Woolies and go insane for want of survival in this money-centred world. Hmm.

Oh yes and breaking news. If you want to give me the best present ever for my birthday click on the Mute Math link in my 'Bands that Rock' section and purchase for me, online, their new album. While you're at it buy one for yourself as well because you may just die because of the awesomeness of it. I don't care if it doesn't arrive before my birthday but just a slip of paper saying it's on the way will make my day. That's right, you don't have to go to one of their concerts to buy their album after all! You can buy it online and have it delivered to you. How cool is that?

So anyway, besides potentially new job and discovery of a awesome new CD from one of my favourite bands what else warrents news? Nothing! I don't wan't this one to go to ungodly lengths so this is all you're getting for now.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-08-03T13:47:16Z</dcterms:modified>
